How CaEFT processes personal information under POPIA, and your rights. This page also includes access-to-information (PAIA) information and a link to the PAIA manual.
Summary
CaEFT processes personal information to provide website functionality, respond to enquiries, onboard customers, operate the platform, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
We process personal information in accordance with POPIA and our contractual obligations. Depending on the context, CaEFT may act as a responsible party for website and prospect data, and as an operator when processing platform data on behalf of a law firm customer.
A full Privacy Policy should explain what information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, how long we retain it, your rights, and how to contact our Information Officer SD Naidoo ([email protected]) or lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.
Access to information (PAIA) & PAIA manual
This section summarises how CaEFT approaches access to information under the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA), as read with POPIA and Information Regulator guidance. A complete PAIA manual must be compiled, approved, and kept available as required by law.
Some records may already be published on this website or obtainable from public sources; others may be requested from us in line with PAIA procedures. Requests should describe the records sought clearly enough for us to identify them.
